I am continuously proud of people I have had the pleasure of working with along their journey. Three playwrights from The Farm Theater's program have gone on to be invited into Juilliard's professional writing program. Actors from The Farm have worked on Off-Broadway. Writers have had World Premieres at major Regional Theaters and Off-Broadway. Labyrinth Education Program inspired numerous award winning theater companies. A few students from NYU have been nominated for Pulitzers and Tonys. Other students, I was fortunate enough to take to their first play and had their minds and hearts changed forever. Some have had children, gotten married, moved, become lawyers - I don't know how you illustrate the success of teaching. Maybe it is when they are empowered to fully express themselves, artistically, and as individuals. I think you do that by listening, validating, and elevating their perspective. And if you need someone to know something - tell them.
